Brett Paul Nottingham is a American football quarterback for the Columbia Lions football team. Nottingham originally committed to UCLA before committing to Stanford. Nottingham competed with Josh Nunes for the starting quarterback job, and Nunes would be named the starter. Nunes eventually lost the starting job to redshirt freshman Kevin Hogan, and Nottingham announced that he would transfer to another school. In April 2013, Nottingham transferred to Columbia University in the Ivy League, where he will have two years of eligibility. Nottingham started the first four games of the 2014 season. After throwing 3 interceptions in a loss against Monmouth, Nottingham left the team after being notified by head coach Pete Mangurian that he would be benched in favor of junior quarterback Trevor McDonagh. Nottingham rejoined the Lions during the 2015 season.
