John David "Dave" Jamerson is an American former professional basketball player who was selected by the Miami Heat in the 1st round of the 1990 NBA Draft. After graduating in 1990 with a degree in journalism, Jamerson was drafted in the first round by the NBA's Miami Heat, then immediately traded to the Houston Rockets. He played two years for the Houston Rockets before injuring his knee and finishing out the 1993-94 season with the Utah Jazz and New Jersey Nets. He then played briefly in the Continental Basketball Association. On December 21, 1989, against the University of Charleston, he set a then-single game record by hitting 14 3-pointers and scoring 60 points in the Ohio victory. His #33 jersey at OU was retired during a halftime ceremony during a January 2007 game. Jamerson graduated from Stow High School. He is now an Outreach Pastor at Traders Point Christian Church in Zionsville, IN.
